Diverse Leaders for Tomorrow

Led by Sue Lewis at Yorkshire Leadership Community (Red Kite Alliance)

The programme enables participants to learn from each other and to develop their effectiveness as leaders on a programme where they are in the majority. It explores the challenges and refines the existing tools of school leadership and school improvement to address issues of inequality. This programme explores how school leaders can lead differently to address the needs of the diverse communities within this region. Read more

Women of Tomorrow

Led by Andrea Daubney at Hollingworth Academy (Hollingworth TSA)

This programme aims to provide a stream of enthusiastic new female leaders to secondary schools as part of succession planning for leadership. It is aimed at female teachers in the first 5 years of teaching who may have just started a leadership position or are aspiring to leadership. We also welcome female teachers who have taken a ‘career break’ from leadership after having maternitly leave and are looking to take up a leadership role in the future

Deputy & Headteacher Internship for Women

Led by Sue Lewis at Yorkshire Leadership Community

This programme provide opportunities for leaders aspiring to deputy or headteacher roles to ‘experience’ the leadership role that they are aiming for. Participants will shadow a senior leader in another school to enable them to experience a real-life senior leader so that they can fully understand the role; this experience will help them to construct a successful application for promoted post. The participants also have opportunities to share and learn from each other, better understand their strengths and areas for development and be inspired and motivated by guest speakers. Read more

Women Leaders for Tomorrow: unlocking potential- raising aspirations

This is new to YLC and aims to support aspiring women leaders with their career development. This programme will support participants to have clear vision how to develop their leadership journey; help participants to understand organisational barriers and how these can be overcome; inspire and motivate participants through the use of successful women leaders as role models.
